I am glad to welcome you to the Department of Laboratory Medical Sciences at the University of Jedra and congratulate you for choosing to study in this department.
Proceeding from the urgent need of the community for technical education graduates, and because of our belief in the important role that qualified cadres in medical laboratories play in providing comprehensive health care, the University established a wall in the Department of Laboratory Medical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at the beginning of 2017.
The department offers a four-year program during which it is granted a bachelor's degree in medical analysis. Through this program, we provide the necessary scientific knowledge and professional skills in various fields of medical analysis. The Bachelor's program in Medical Analysis consists of 136 credit hours, during which the student learns the most recent knowledge in medical analysis.
The department periodically reviews the study plan to update it in order to bring it in line with the latest international programs in medical laboratory science teaching.
The course material consists of comprehensive theoretical lectures in addition to practical laboratories that give students basic laboratory skills. In addition, during the last year of his studies, the student will receive comprehensive training in diagnostic medical laboratories in the public or private sector, which are approved for training purposes.
This training provides them with an excellent professional environment to hone their laboratory skills acquired in the department's laboratories. It also gives them work experience as part of the medical team before they leave school.
This is to ensure the provision of hospitals and public and private laboratories at home and abroad with professional laboratory cadres that contribute to improving the level of health care. In addition to providing a selection of graduates to gain higher degrees, such as masters and doctorate degrees in the areas of medical analysis.
