Outcomes:

The graduates of English department should:

1. Display convincing competence in the four language skills i.e. reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

2. Demonstrate critical thinking and analysis.

3. Display knowledge of the various literary theories and the different schools of criticism.

4. Apply language theories of language learning and teaching.

5. Demonstrate awareness of differences between languages in general and between Arabic and English in specific.

6. Demonstrate awareness of the relationship between language and context and between and society.
