University Transfer Requirements (Bachelor's and Associate's Degrees)

Transferring from one major to another within the university is subject to the following conditions:

Achieving the minimum high school GPA required for the year of university admission, and ensuring that the high school specialization is compatible with the major the student wishes to transfer to.

A vacancy must be available in the desired major.

The student must not have been dismissed or transferred from the major or college that includes the major. Transfer is permitted only once, at the student's personal request, in addition to dismissal from the major or college.

If a student transfers from one major to another, they must pay the difference in tuition fees for the credit hours in their new major if the cost per credit hour is higher than the cost per credit hour in their previous major.

Courses in the new major will be credited according to the course number in the student's new study plan (i.e., if the course is included in the new plan).

Important note: If a student is dismissed from their major and their cumulative GPA is 55% or higher, they may continue in their major provided they apply to transfer to remedial private study and are given an opportunity for two additional semesters to raise their GPA to (60%), provided that the student pays double the fees for the credit hours throughout this period (for more details, the instructions for granting a bachelor’s degree and associate’s degree can be reviewed on this website).
