Jadara University is a Smoke-Free Campus as of 1/1/2020

Jadara University is one of the Jordanian universities active in the field of combating the scourge of smoking, as His Excellency Prof. Dr. Muhammad Talib Obeidat, President of Jadara University, announced a smoke-free Campus as of 1/1/2020. Many posters and publications were designed by Public Relation and Media Department with the help of Student Committee. They were posted in all buldings and facilities of Jadara Campus. An awareness session was conducted to staff and students for this purpose as well.

Jadara Participates in UI GreenMetric World University Ranking 2020 for the first time

    Jadara is participating in the UI Green Metric International University Rankings 2020 for the first time. The Questionnaire of sustainability of Jadara University was submitted to the UI GreenMetric on Thursday, October 29, 2020, knowing that the deadline was November 1st of the current year.
Chair of International Relations Office IRO, Mrs. Lama Haddad, was assigned to collect information, work on it and write the report under the supervision of the university president, His Excellency Professor Muhammad Talib Obeidat. Followed up by President's Assistant for International Projects &  Relations Dr. Bilal Zaqiba, in cooperation with the General Coordinator, Mr. Alaa Al-Marashdeh, and Engineer Amjad Marashdeh, Director of the Engineering Office at the University, and the support of all departments to provide information relevant to sustainability.

     The Questionnaire consisted of 69 questions under 6 sectors related to sustainability which are  : infrastructure, renewable energy and climate change, waste management, transportation, water and last, education and scientific research. It contained 32 evidence files and 51 pages.

Results will be announced on the official UI GreenMetric website at the end of December 2020.
